Hi Gil,
thank you for the comment.
The best of luck to you as I know what a heart-wrenching feeling it is to be looking and searching and looking some more, just hoping to hear that sound of a bell. I take it you are in the States?
She cannot be too far away, so keep looking as these things usually turn out right once the effort is made,
God luck,
Tom

good story. Glad you got your hawk back!! I lost my 2x intermewed female redtail yesterday. I was flying her down the road within walking distance from my house. I turned my back and she flew down the hill after something. Very likely a squirrel, as we were at the top of a hill surrounded by big oaks and she has caught many squirrels in this area in the past. I searched yesterday with no success. I feel certain she caught whatever she was pursuing and is still turning over her full crop. At least she is not far from my house and her mew, so maybe my chances of finding her today or tomorrow are still good. Hopefully,I'll hear her bell. I should have taken the time to put the transmitter on her leg. The leaves are still very thick on the trees making it very difficult to spot a hawk even just 30 feet a way. Good hawking. Wish me luck. Gil
