thanks, tom.
it's not totally a natural environment where the family of harris hunt. i live in a very centrical place, but surrounded by urban park and -just a one kilometre away- by a small national park. in the sport park there is a family of harries (four or five members). maybe, the adult couple migrate to this place because make a living here it's quite easy: there are a geat deal of nests dove and others litlle birds. so the harries have managed to raised year after year severals and noisy harries chicks. i personally have a female harris and hunt in the periphery of the city, but when a want to look at them in the 'wild' just i go to the park; then i realize how intelligent and gregarious they are. perhaps these hawks are not so spectacular in the hunt as they are in the desert catching rabbist and hares, but they are a gift to me and for the people who see them and get a rest for their eyes and souls in the frenzy of the city.

Please tell us more about watching Harris Hawks in the wild. It would be very interesting for us here in ireland and anyone who hunts with them around the world to get some insight of Harris's in their natural environment,
Dont worry, your english is very good, so please join forum and keep posting,
Thanks, Tom

First of all, sorry for my poor english. You're absolutly righ: to enjoy a harris hawk you must Know, at leats, the fundamental knowlege of cetreria; if not, will be a nigthmare. several years ago, i had a adult Harris hawk male, he was a really a bundle of nerves, more than a sparrow hawk. so when my nerves broke down i decided to set it free.
in spite of living in the most populated place in the world, mexico city, near to my house (yes, just a few steps) there is a park where i can see a family of harris hawks hunting like you describe. its really great.
